Situated in a quiet street on the outskirts of Pukekohe, this home has a distinctly nautical feel. The double gable and steep pitch of the roofline, linea weatherboard exterior and the long wooden ramp leading up to the front door all bring to mind the classic lines of a tradition boathouse.

This property was designed and built for clients with very specific requirements. This design brief was to create a new home for four retired senior citzens, who decided to move from their two seperate townhouses into one combined household.

The sunny kitchen faces a bank of bifold doors, which open out to a large deck. The galley-style kitchen incorporates plently of storage and a long bench with work space for two cooks. Internally the colour scheme chosen has been kept mostly neutral, expect for well-chosen walls, which feature striking silver and duck-egg blue wallpaper.

The end result is a warm, spacious home with all required features and more.
