Bracu Restaurant & Pavilion
In September 2005, Haven (NZ) Ltd was contracted by Ivan and Branka Simunovich to undertake the dramatic renovations to transform the original Main Homestead into a unique Restaurant among the olive trees at Simunovich Olive Estate, Bombay Hills.
The construction timeframe was extremely tight, and only took three months to complete. This included almost totally stripping the interior of the Homestead, extending, and replacing with new materials. Many original materials have been recycled, including the dark timber flooring, which has been re-sanded and polyurethaned. The original exterior weatherboards have been stripped back and re-painted.
A local designer, Ria Gleeson was the mastermind behind the supremely elegant and off-beat interior design concept. A Rare Wine Library is a magnificently designed 2,500 bottle cellar and can seat up to 12 guests for lunch or dinner.
In 2010 Haven was also contracted to construct a state of the art function centre at the Simunovich Olive Estate. This project was completed to a strict timeline and budget. Once again, our clients were thrilled with the beautiful end result.
